I was scrolling through X (formerly Twitter) when I came across a user who thinks Saggy Melonz should have gotten permission from Andy Signore before making a parody video of a jerk-off video he sent to at least one of his victims.
I don't think any explicit videos or private videos should be publicly shared whether it's on X/Twitter or between people, without the permission of the person in the video.
I asked if the recipient of unwanted explicit videos had any say. They replied, "of course they do!" Is it just me or is there a bit of cognitive dissonance going on?
Cognitive dissonance is a psychological phenomenon that occurs when a person holds two contradictory beliefs at the same time.
I completely missed the opportunity to say something like, "then you'd agree with me that Andy shouldn't be sharing illicitly received videos, right?" (Yes, I watch lots of law tube, lol)
The man is an obnoxious blowhard who insults his audience, especially if they dare question him. He doesn't care about the subjects he talks about except for how much in the way of clicks, cash and clout they garner for him, IMO. He whines like a giant toddler if there's even a hint of him being restricted in any way. Which he was, for at least 12 hours, when he received a temporary time out from X. Later he cried about the YouTube algorithim.
He's currently blaming the "Sussex Squad," (those who support Meghan Markle) for his most recent woes. Previously it was Christopher Bouzy. A bit further back it was Amber Heard stans. He creates GoFundMes to "explore options" when it comes to those he feels have wronged him but seems to just pocket the money. He's always crying victim, begging for donations. His fans have paid for a new studio, complete with furnishings, that reside in a new house. He goes on vacation at least every other month. He makes a very healthy living off of his YouTube memberships alone but, please, give him more money 🙄
Just recently he brought up a situation from a year ago wherein he stole the joy from an artist and her work by presenting it to it's intended recipient without her direct involvement. When she got upset, which is understandable, he called her out, painting himself as victim, as per usual. His stans targeted the artist, which he could've called off had he wished, but he didn't. Dragging that incident up again was completely unnecessary. So was mentioning a certain little pirate. Neither had a place in the discussion.
He unblocked the artist for a short time, in order for her to see a half-assed, too little, too late apology. Except she didn't see it which he blamed on her blocking him. Reminds me of middle school shenanigans, which is par for his course, IMO.
I've been pondering how Emily D Baker has less subs than Andy Signore's Popcorned Planet. Is it because Emily takes more care when chosing who/what to cover? And just how she covers them? Is it because she works hard to create a safe space for her viewers? How she praises her audience instead of preying on/yelling at them? Or because she pays her staff rather than exploiting free labor? Oddly, it seems that as soon as PCP has a large dip in subs there is a fast increase in them. Hmmmmmm... 🤔
I recently saw someone say that Andy was "a good pop culture reporter" and about feel off my chair laughing. They probably think TMZ & other tabloids are "good," too. Although said tabloids probably do more actual research than Andy does. And maybe pays their team rather than rely on "volunteers." Do they troll their viewers looking to get laid? Badmouth and block those who dare to question (except for those he deems higher up on the food chain)? Send unwanted explicit videos to unsuspecting women? Beg for cash on the daily? Supporting Andy Signore means you condone all of the above, IMO.
Karma will get him sooner or later and I will be gleefully munching popcorn (pun intended) when that day comes. It will be glorious!
